(3,676 posts)I was noticing at Trump's health care "victory" appearances yesterday that all of the people around him and in the background were old, white males. All of them. There were two TV snippets with a woman in it (albeit a white woman). But, it was almost entirely a white Klan mob.
Personally, I think the country's toast. There was an article saying that owing to a variety of factors in Republicans' favor at this time, that Trump could be in a position to appoint as much as 40% of the entire Federal judiciary during his term - including bringing the Supreme Court to a 6-3 conservative majority. We. Are Fucked.
The only way we can move America in a forward-leaning posture is to get legislative majorities and write, or re-write, laws in our favor that these judges have to judge to. Otherwise, we're looking at minority rule for the next 40 years or so.

SEE? We're NOT an all-boys club here! See???
There ARE a three or four more, back in the back who evidently got there too late to be shoved to the front, but by Jove there's Cathy McMorris Rodgers right up front. They always haul her out whenever they have to do some meaningless group leadership blah-blah-blah at the microphones. For appearances sake. Like the token she is. And a lovely, rather decorative little token at that. After all, she photographs well.

But I could be wrong, maybe they were serving the refreshments.

(2,404 posts)of that idiotic thumbs up Trump and his minionazis do.
It's undignified and just plain stupid coming from people who are in positions of supposed authority.
They need to put a clause in the health care bill to cover incurable stupid. For Republicans only.
