President Trump Reportedly Speaks to Fox News Chief Rupert Murdoch 'Almost Every Day'

by Aidan McLaughlin | 9:43 am, May 5th, 2017

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman was interviewed by Times Australia bureau chief Damien Cave Thursday, and made an interesting revelation: President Donald Trump “speaks to (Rupert) Murdoch now almost every day.”

The insight came as the two reporters discussed the meeting between Trump and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in New York, following a contentious call between the two leaders in February.

When discussing how the two allies will work together to handle with North Korea, Haberman noted that “one of the most significant voices for (Trump) here is Rupert Murdoch’s.”

Trump has a long-standing relationship with the Australian, whose News Corp/21st Century Fox portfolio includes The New York Post, Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. The two now reportedly speak almost daily, discussing political strategy. Per Haberman, Murdoch “urges the president to stay focused on the economy narrowly and foreign policy more broadly.” She also said Murdoch “speaks with Jared Kushner,” a senior adviser to the president.

He's owned the UK's governments for decades, and adding America to that would be a massive coup for him. That level of influence is frankly terrifying.

He had to become one in order to own American TV so I don't necessarily believe it means any actual love of Country.

It just means he gets to vote in addition to all the other damage he has done.
