...and can't find anything here from today about the hack of Macron's e-mails. The awful thing is that French law prohibits any publication of anything about the election at all 24 hours prior to election day. So the French people can't get any contextual explanation for whatever might have been released.
Has anything been posted here in DU that I just couldn't catch?

P.S. After I posted this I saw the post below, but it still doesn't show up on a search. Just my own OP...

I do deeply appreciate your attention to the matter, though. It's a global assault on democracy.

(9,314 posts)(Newser) The campaign of French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron says it has been the victim of a "massive and coordinated" hacking attack, the AP reports. His campaign said in a statement late Friday night that some campaign emails and financial documents were hacked a few weeks ago and are now being circulated on social media, but that they have been mixed with false documents. It said whoever is behind the leaked documents is trying to "seed doubt and disinformation" and destabilize Sunday's presidential runoff, comparing it to emails leaked from Hillary Clinton's US presidential campaign. Macron is the poll favorite going into Sunday's election against far-right leader Marine Le Pen.
CBS has also covered the story.

And now LePen can't spend the next two days using Russian propaganda against Macron.
Wikileaks and Russia really blew it with the timing.
