The US conservative model on healthcare, but also on jobs, housing, the economy in general, and more

It isn't to eliminate inefficiencies nor is it to make sure everyone gets an equal size slice of the pie, or even get a slice of pie at all.

However, the model is to shift away from government responsibility and for having an ally in the court of the consumer or the person who needs something and to put the burden of responsibility for any flaws a system may have on the people who have the least amount of power and the smallest voice.
