It's bound to happen. This country has some amazing assets that could be turned into cash. Our National Parks and Monuments. The National Forests. Military bases. Even the White House and other Federal Buildings in DC and across the nation. Imagine how much revenue could be generated by selling those useless properties for cash money.
After all, our President has vast experience in real estate development. He has turned many properties into revenue generating enterprises which he can use to extract money to pay off his previous investments and debts. Why, our national properties could be marketed even to the Chinese, who could be convinced to pay $500,000 dollars each for shares in these investments and who could then move the to the US on special visas for investors.
Further, what revenues remained after Trump takes his commission could be used to provide world-class healthcare to those who invest in former federal properties. It's a win-win proposition for The Donald and for those who can see the future wealth that could be generated. I'm surprised he hasn't already issued an Executive Order setting this windfall generator in motion...

(146,282 posts)Human lives are cheap, in Trump's way of thinking. Property is valuable. He can better loot the nation by selling of real assets. He knows that, and is just waiting for the right moment to being putting his plan into place.

(146,282 posts)they should retain that designation. The National Parks are next. Just think how much more valuable parks like Yellowstone and Yosemite would be if they were properly developed for maximum tourist revenues. Only private industry can do that, of course. Just imagine teeing off on the top of Half Dome, after a short, luxury helicopter flight. The world's tourists would flock to something like that.
And how much would wealthy tourists pay to spend a night in the Lincoln Bedroom? Priceless.
The possibilities are simply endless!

(24,401 posts)Privatization has been one of things that has really ruined government services, jacked up prices, and, overall screwed working people IMHO. I don't want to see that happen to our national monuments too.
