He felt there was no need because he was being briefed by General Flynn. He had a lot of confidence in his General. He told it like it is. He knew everything that Trump needed to know.
Trump wanted Flynn because he had Russia connections. That was his appeal. He wanted as many possible avenues to his hero, Vladimir Putin, as he could get. We don't know why?

(23,091 posts)It's for his own personal profit, that's why. The details we aren't sure of but we know several things,
1 - Russian mafioso was overpaying by millions of dollars for his estates prior to the sanctions as a way of laundering their money. He needs the sanctions removed so he can make that $$ again.
2 - He's in great hock to Russian banks so that's a huge bribe they could be using.
