I think the entire MSM is missing the point...
This might be a little tinfoiley - but All the questions about what and when Trump knew about Flynn's actions become irrelevant when you start to see this thing as Trump working for Flynn, not the other way around.
Someone on MSNBC said a little while ago that Flynn was one of the first people willing to meet with Trump in 2015 - when everyone else thought he was a joke. Obviously, Flynn sought out Trump. He was selected for this political gambit because he already had his own deep ties to Russia and it's oligarchs, and he was stupid enough to do it. Flynn was his handler. Trump knew only what Flynn told him. Anyone else want to try on this hat?

2. Flynn, ha...
Look at all of the others. Tillerson is our face to the world, highest Russian civilian award. Secretary of commerce was vp at the Russian money laundering bank that bailed Trump out.
Trump is surrounded by people with connections to Russia. His kids are probably kept so close to him because Putin himself is giving them their marching orders. This isn't even conspiracy theory stuff, this is history. |

3. Makes sense
Wouldn't be surprised at all if Flynn is a Russian spy. He is enough of a whack job to believe that he would be helping his country by getting rid of those liberals in government no matter who he had to cozy up to.

4. Logical. There is some evidence to back this analysis.
More than a few interviews and articles I've seen.
Rings true. Possible that Donald wasn't given a choice. Might be a little of both. The alleged tape that everyone has, the one where Donald prostrates himself before Putin and begs for the presidency -- Flynn might just be the handler and not the selector. Bannon. Bannon's in on this up to his eyebrows. |

7. I agree. I think Putin ...
... or whoever owns Putin, selected Trump. Flynn was used to access him.

5. It is easy to believe that Flynn was the primary channel to Putin...
though I still think Putie has something on Trump. If nothing else, I'd bet a dollar against a frosted donut that Trump owes him financially, bigly.
