He's a centrist, for whatever that's worth, since he's French. I'm not exactly sure where the center is in France, frankly, since I don't follow that country's politics very closely.
However, since the Russians apparently did what they could, albeit clumsily, to try to hurt him, will the element on the left that seems enamored of the Russian tyrant now go after Macron? I suppose so.
Maybe they can attack him because of his older wife, or because he eats too much cheese or something else. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Surely we'll see the attacks shortly if they are to begin.

Of course the alt-left in country spends more time attacking Democrats then the fascist in the Whitehouse.
The far right and the far left have a lot in common. I know that is an uncomfortable truth for many posters here but it is fact.

Both Sanders and Clinton posted congratulations when he won.

However, the German Federal elections are in September and that is undoubtedly the next big thing Moscow and their legion of useful idiots will try to fuck with... So get ready for fringe left bloggers, pundits, etc. to be newly-minted instant "experts" on German politics, and get ready for Assange's perfectly timed file dumps...
Luckily Berlin knows the Moscow "playbook" quite well and will be vigilant against any shenanigans...
