The Correspondents Dinner that some utter buffoon booked him for because of a total incapacity for sarcasm and irony?

His machine still kills fascists.

That was A Thing of Beauty. Watching him tear up and spit out bush/cheney that night was almost as terrific as watching dubya sitting up there on the dais being flayed alive, and trying to look all cool about it. After awhile, even he realized he was being skinned alive. ("Hey Laura, was that s'posed to be funny? Didn't sound too funny to me...&quot

was that at the time, hardly anybody spoke out against Team Bush for fear of being slammed as America Haters or similar. He kind of opened the floodgates. At least Bush was smart enough to know he was being mocked.

One of the few things I respected Antonin Scalia for was that afterwards, he went up to Colbert and was laughing and told him that he did a great job and shook Colbert's hand. Scalia was also a target that night. I think he was the only Republican who did. (Colbert told this story after Scalia passed away)

also, the best part of that performance was the way he shoved the sycophantic performance of the media right up their asses. Sure, he made fun of Bush/Cheney. But he really skewered the media for kissing up to them.

What a thing of beauty that was, indeed.

I like her and I also like Rep. Schiff. We need new blood in 2020.

You know what, 45 being president may just have a silver lining. This administration is allowing us to see democrats (with backbones) we would never have been exposed to otherwise. I have a feeling that we will be seeing even more braver democrats before his term is over.

I saw where President Obama said yesterday that the republicans should reach down deep and search their hearts to do the right thing. My response is, "Mr. President, you've got to have a heart in order to search it." This republican administration is soul-less. I really believe this. The care about nothing but the almighty dollar - bottom line. They'll do anything, say anything, even support an administration (by remaining silent) that is mired in traitorous behavior with our sworn enemies, cut and gut programs that help the helpless and most vulnerable in our society - to save their jobs or line their pockets. They are despicable.
