it isn't that black and white

Look, this is a repeat story for them and this dumb ass country.

We got W because they pitched an 8 year hissy fit over Bill, and he is a white male.

People tend to look at BHO and make the secondary amplifier the cause. YES, the Rs used racism as a tool to gin up the opposition/slander of BHO, but it was tool of convenience, and it worked so well because their party is a comfy home for the people that it strikes home strongest with.

However, the primary sin is that he was a democrat.

Same thing was/would have been the case with Hillary. We had/would have had the bigotry factor on steroids, but her primary sin was being a democrat.

The day before 45 came down that eslalator, he was just another NYC liberal as far as repubilcans were concerned. I live in a conservative area, I have them for inlaws, and they had nothing but contempt for him before he became the republican nominee - they all would have walked over broken glass to vote for him over Hillary.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
