It's only enough if it persuades enough congressional Republicans to support an independent, nonpartisan investigation with subpoena power. If not, the "blowback" will blow away soon enough.

He's old enough to remember Watergate, but he probably wasn't paying any attention. More importantly, Trump is used to being the boss and suffering no repercussions for anything he did. John Dean is on TV right now, saying the Nixon WH was also surprised at the blowback from the Saturday Night Massacre.
