Bandit King Trump Just Broke the Outlaw Code

Bandit Kings must be loyal. It is one of the basic requirements for the job. When a biker boss or a drug lord or a self styled Bandit King president throws someone like Comey under the bus--a man who went out on a limb to help Trump steal the election ( Trump's self styled outlaw base loves the fact that he stole the election--its what outlaws do)it signals that he cares for no one but himself. And, up until now, Trump's deluded base of under educated, under employed, under insured trailer park dwellers have been telling themselves that if they just stick with their man, he will finally deliver them the White Privilege which they have been denied.

You won't hear much from the Base about Comey's firing. The base does not write columns for the NYT. The Base doesn't even get to appear on Fox News. But the Base is simmering. And the Base is worried. If Trump will turn on his own partners in crime in such a callous, despicable way, how we will he treat the men and women who voted for him?

Lobbing U.S. missile at Syria to defend "Muslim radicals" against nerve gas attacks unnerved the Base. Throwing one of his own co-conspirators to the wolves is going to alarm the base.

What we are witnessing is the moral equivalent of Robin Hood turning in Little John to the Sheriff of Nottingham for the reward. Ouchies.

1. Nah. The base is going to think this is great. They're going to think this is Trump standing

up to the people left over from Obama, because if Obama appointed them they must be bad. And they're expecting that Trump will appoint someone who will go after Hillary Clinton.

I'll bet my lunch that the base is celebrating tonight.

2. I think you're giving the Base far too much credit. They're not following

at this level. Hope I'm wrong, because I don't see anyone else who can exercise any influence. Time will tell.

They are simple authoritarians. They like strength. And nothing says strength like firing some Washington guy they probably never heard of.
