SNL preview of Melissa reprising Spicey.

Particularly proud because my kid is one of the designers on SNL who makes the props and graphics.

1. Almost sad...so much new material came up after they filmed this.

This is from the SNL "Film Unit." They do the pre-recorded stuff (I've learned a lot since my son started working for them). It's still done rushed, and given that it broke Tuesday they might still re-do some things. Spicey jumping out of the bushes would be good? Who knows. Hopefully it will be good beyond the cold opening!

Maybe they will do something like.... Spicey announcing Comey getting fired...with bushes around him...and then HE gets fired right there also. And Sanders comes in and continues...

Son tells me how it works. They're on call constantly, and create graphics and screen images just hours before the show. They work up until the very last minute, although the film unit has a longer lead time. Either way, it should be fun to see what they do with this this weekend!

So, so perfect if that comes to fruition.

She cracks me the eff up.

He was the lead designer on part two of The Get Down on Netflix, then moved to SNL. He's finishing up the season, then moves on to Key & Peele. Worked on a Louis CK special. And we thought he'd be living in our basement until he was 40! Don't ever give up on your kids.
