Gotta say (no don't gotta but will) : Anderson COOPER is an outstanding presenter including our side

So my first impression of him was about one Aaron BROWN and Katrina. My pre-internet celebrity media fan experiences were, first HUNTLEY-BRINKLY, and then Peter JENNINGS. No, nothing against Walter, and Dan had his superb moment with Tricky Dick, but that CBS deadly dull delivery (cf., the current dude on his way out, whatever his name is) was just deadly.

So when MSNBC started up as our ostensible Leftie outlet, there was this Aaron BROWN who was said to be Peter's protégé, and hence my chosen personality. Anderson was hovering around on the edges, never saw him in his previous reality show incarnation, knew only that he was a rich kid, which raised my democratic (small "d&quot and anti-Royalty suspicions and hackles. Then Katrina happened. I'm probably wrong on the story but it sounded like Aaron was on the golf course and at first refused to come back to work to cover Katrina and Anderson took over and did some show-stopping emoting. That sounds cruel now about Anderson's emoting. Then Aaron was GONE and Anderson really took over. And I sort of resented Anderson for sort of staging a coup, with Aaron departing to being a lowly professor.

By that time I ditched CNN totally, even though it was generally to my ideological or just NEUTRAL liking, and have focused almost exclusively on MSNBC, with the bits of monitoring the Faux Propaganda Network, only for O'LOOFAH - no, not for liking/agreeing with O'LOOFAH, but for studying his rhetorical fallacy techniques. Side bar, O'LOOFAH & LIMBOsevic, and LEVIN, are about the only wingnuts with Listenability for their oral skills and dastardly mental twists, while the just-parrots like HANNITY/COULTERgeist/INGRAHAM are no challenge and of interest at all.

Anyway, in the last couple of years Anderson has taken up more attention for me via Kelly RIPA, but mostly for the fun. But very recently with my becoming more aware of his confronting Kellyanne and other DRUMPFsters - hey, he does a good, good job.

And it's not JUST ideology, it's about his not putting up with the b.s. And I've wondered a few times how he shifts back and forth between entertainment silliness and acute/astute political discussion. Also, lately have discovered LEMON.

So there, apropos of neither here nor there.

He is just not putting up with any crap from Trumpy's people. We need more of it.

Not exactly left, not exactly right. MSNBC has been drifting right lately... the primetime hits are left of center (Rachel Maddow, etc) but there's more right wing "talent" coming on board lately.

As for Anderson Cooper - I like him. Aside from being telegenic, he has a good balance between fun and serious. He also has a working BS meter, which we saw recently in full swing with Ms CON-way on again with her alternative facts. Don Lemon is sort of in the same mould too. Telegenic too. If Anderson wasn't in a relationship, I'd totally see him and Lemon dating

But first I'll keep to my high minded discourse: "MSNBC drifting right lately" - well, it has always had some bowing to the Right, like featuring Pat and Bay BUCHANAN, Michael "Savage" WIENER, and Tweety's erratic wanderings, not to mention Joe SCABS. And recently, more to come with Greta, some other scavengers, etc.

That said, like for me I can only take a couple or three wingnuts with the rest not tolerable, on our side I monitored Tweety (the equivalent of O'LOOFAH) but had to take especially Keith but also Rachel in small doses because of their style and being so predictable, but in recent couple of years have warmed up a lot more to Rachel (with BREAKS) and sometimes even use her as a sparkling water antidote to overdose of wingnuttiness in the overall media day.

O.K., now to the dangerous waters, telegenic/dating: Visually speaking, Anderson looks underweight like too much gym-ing, and as for his and LEMON's dating who knows what their types are!1
