Meanwhile, John Schindler says the "Lizard" is coming tomorrow. (Apparently the Lizards were a rightwing resistance group during the Nazi occupation of Poland.)
So the date is only a possibility at this point. But the ground seems to be shaking. We shall see.

Two separate sources with links to the intelligence community say that the first arrests in the criminal and counter-intelligence probe will shortly take place, possibly as soon as Thursday, May 11th.
Following the unconstitutional dismissal of FBI Director James Comey, which Donald Trump both explicitly linked to his own investigation for criminal collusion in Russias hacking of the American election, US and State Attorbut neys General are, intelligence sources say, about to make their move.
Sources confirm the exclusive reporting of Claude Taylor on Twitter that the majority of sealed indictments have been handed down in the Southern District of New York, with four sealed indictments in the Eastern District of Virginia. CNN while wrongfully claiming an exclusive on both Taylors original news breaking and the first mainstream reporter to cover the news, Keith Olbermann nonetheless confirmed last night, Tuesday, May 9th, that subpoenas were issued from the Eastern District of Virginia against associates of General Flynn.
Senator Markey announced on CNN that a Grand Jury had been empaneled in New York and cited this blog. I referred to a probably linked document from the Southern District of New York in my last piece, which reported as fact that no fewer than six separate FISA warrants had been issued in the Trump-Russia probe, but I am able to report tonight as fact both that my own sources, who are independent of Mr. Taylors sources, confirm multiple sealed indictments delivered at State Grand Jury level in the Southern District of New York, and that intelligence sources also believe that the first arrests in Trump Russia will shortly be announced and may come as quickly as tomorrow.
For the sake of clarity, I still cannot report anything further than a probability on the linking of a civil document in the New York case to the indictments that have been obtained in New York under RICO. People familiar with the matter speculate that General Flynn may be among the first people arrested but they do not confirm the news.

(790 posts)It was wrong and stupid. And Trump did it to save his fat ass. But a president can fire a FBI director anytime. Yes, it was done because Comey had the goods on the traitor.

(130,895 posts)NOT unconstitutional.
Mr. Ected
(9,670 posts)Normally, the FBI director serves at the pleasure of the President. However, in this case, the President himself was the subject of an FBI investigation, which the director was personally spearheading at the time of his dismissal. Proof that the underlying reason for the firing was to directly interfere with the investigation gives rise to the accusation of obstruction of justice, an impeachable transgression. WaPo published an article tonight citing 30 sources that the Comey firing emanated from the WH and then through the DAG, not vice versa as stated by the WH.
Wounded Bear
(58,648 posts)if they can connect it to an obstruction of justice charge, it would be illegal. Crimes are impeachable.

(62,444 posts)To abuse a power is to use a legitimate power for an illegitimate purpose.
Yes, the president can fire the FBI director. If it appears the president fired the FBI director to derail a criminal investigation of Trump or his associates, then the USE of that power becomes ABUSE of that power to carry out obstruction of justice.

Just like Taylor and his 'considering options.' Nothing happened, but hey...he never said it would. Only that options were being considered. Something he wouldn't have any way of knowing, but which also can't really be disproved.
That's how these hucksters do it. Shame so many people fall for it.

(583 posts)the biggest news story of the decade, and it's being reported by Claude on Twitter?

I don't think so...

(108,977 posts)Here is a set of tweets by an anonymous, self-described journalist who explains how someone like Claude Taylor (former Director of Volunteers, overseeing 3000 volunteers for the Clinton administration) could be someone to take seriously.
And to all the below I would add: Claude Taylor is not posting anonymously. He is willing to put his name on his tweets and to stake his reputation on them. So that's worth something.

Ale? @aliasvaughn
2) I've been a journalist in mainstream media for SEVENTEEN years now. IN NO WAY MSM journalists are better sourced than former WH aides.
Ale? @aliasvaughn More
4) Being a DC journalist absolutely doesn't mean a. HAVING FBI access or b. being called by sources just bc you're MSM. NOT how it works.
Ale? @aliasvaughn More
5) Being a DC journalist for MSM also DOESN'T mean having IC source access. AT ALL. Most MSM journos do NOT have the TRUST of IC ppl.
Ale? @aliasvaughn ore
8) More importantly, @TrueFactsStated as WH aide had a chance to form connections a journalist can only DREAM of, unless V. good with ppl.
Ale? @aliasvaughn 10) A former WH aide like @TrueFactsStated builds sources having 2 things journos don't have a. political capital, and b. PERSONAL TRUST.
Ale? @aliasvaughn May 5 More
16) IC or FBI sources are MUCH more likely to speak to someone they've built a relationship with through time that they trust.
Ale? @aliasvaughn re
18) When WaPo or NYT or CNN get scoop, it's bc IC people are LOOKING FOR maximum exposure.
Ale? @aliasvaughn 19) Instead @TrueFactsStated or @20committee get facts bc of the trust & access they have to IC/FBI. Their knowledge is direct & constant.

(9,974 posts)And Rick Wilson retweeted that original tweet right after....adding a single word of his own. "Same". Then days later MSM tried to act like they just broke the news. People who follow those Twitter accounts knew better, though...one Twitter follower tagged CNN in a tweet basically saying "sooo...you read and and then lifted the news from this Twitter account".

(1,129 posts)If I am reading her post correctly....
That means a NY STATE Criminal RICO case with potentially a CIVIL RICO case also joined to it...
That would be like a dream come true...
Can't be touched by federal pardon
And the only plaintiff with sufficient standing to bring a civil case would have to be HRC....
Hmmmmm...
a sitting POTUS cannot really be indicted on criminal charges while in office...
But I believe there just might be precedent for being named a defendant in a civil case while in office...
And if judgement were in plaintiffs favor...
might result in forfeiture of any gains resulting from actions against plaintiff...
Which would be the office he holds...
Oh well...
yesterday's tin hat conspiracy theory
will hopefully become tomorrow's reality....

But probably DT won't be one of the first group of cases. That's okay. If enough of his team goes down, he will too -- eventually.

(26,060 posts)calling Comey's firing unconstitutional - it was perfectly legal. Stupid, short sighted and an obvious ploy but perfectly legal.
Satch59
(1,353 posts)The news coming out that Trump fired Comey to stop the Russia investigation makes me think that's what she was referring in that comment. I have been following Mensch & Taylor for awhile now and they have been correct on a bunch of things...
Look what the Comey firing did just last night, so many breaking stories last night with 30 or more sources on one story. No one is holding back now and Trump kicked an FBI hornets nest and will not come away unstung...
leftynyc
(26,060 posts)I follow Mensch and Taylor on twitter but that charge is never going to be proven using Comey's firing. They have been right about just about everything - grand juries, subpoenas, etc but that part is simply bullshit.
The reason I called the firing stupid was just what you say - he kicked a hornet's nest by saying Comey had lost the respect of his team of investigators. They're supremely pissed off and donnie is going to need hip waders to get through the leaks.
