(46,700 posts)away from poor leadership? In other words, in business, it makes the stockholders feel like you're doing something proactive, and it might work for a little while because you have employees so scared out of their wits that it might increase productivity. But in public administration this doesn't work at all because you leave too many holes in important positions.
Trump doesn't seem to have any other tools in his box, and it looks like this lack of depth is going to defeat him.

(24,259 posts)most push GOP in House and Senate to impeach him, this and even more so if they're afraid that their seats are in actual jeopardy. Gerrymandering can only do so much if your voters get ticked off enough.

(13,081 posts)I mean, I sure as shit wouldn't pay my spokesman to hide in the fucking bushes. Would anyone? If anyone reading this literally hid in the bushes outside your workplace rather than do the sole function of your job -- talking to reporters -- how fast would you be fired?
Of course, with all the other firings, Trump can't even fire the one guy who might deserve it, not without looking shady as hell.

(5,810 posts)Has anyone seen him today? They said he was fulfilling guard duty but I saw no video of him. Maybe he is already sleeping with the fishes. 😳 Things are starting to get really tough for tRump so I put nothing past him. Things are that desperate right now. 😜 He would do almost anything to make this whole Russia thing go away.

(420 posts)he will probably do before Saturday so he screws up Saturday Night Live. The clip of Melissa McCarthy as Spicy released in anticipation of her hosting Saturday is pretty funny! And you know having a WOMAN (eew...women are yucky) imitate his male press secretary just kills him!

(1,278 posts)at this point in the game, if I wasn't fired before Saturday, saunter onto the SNL set during Melissa McCathy's impression of you. Twitter will blow up and he will definitely be fired, possibly during the show itself. I would seriously Mark out for that.

(9,974 posts)Obviously, I'm not familiar with the rules the person tweeted about but they said someone cannot be fired while they are fulfilling their military duties and absent from their job? Not that drumf would care about that but if there are any grown ups involved they may delay the firing until the day he is supposed to return to "work".
Didn't someone say that Spicer was doing 2 roles, one being the daily briefings, etc... I can see them saying that he is not being fired..just being relieved of one of those jobs and he will be shuffled off to being behind the scenes.
Let's face it..we knew when he did the very first press briefing (defending the size of the inaugural crowd) that he would be toast soon.

(13,461 posts)The least of his problems, fire him for the media to divert onto that.

(20,670 posts)I've posted it from election night: This will be the Star Trek Episode where staff keep disappearing from the ship, leaving Beverly Cursher (the doctor) in charge of the ship, alone, and her name will be Donald.

(24,259 posts)It wouldn't surprise me if Sean drew the short twig this time. If I were him at this point I'd steal Trump's thunder and quit before he could fire me.
