(5,499 posts)It will be succinct: "Dumb ass," he'll snarl, "now we both know what feels like to be captured." At that moment agents will raid the oval office with handcuffs and a rain coat.

(29,199 posts)They want to stay in power. They want their agenda passed. They want this more than they want to be loyal citizens. They will support a liar and traitor to maintain their power.
They know that if impeached or resigned in disgrace... Republicans will be out of power soon and for a long time. They also know that demographics are against them... the era of white male rule will come to an end soon... this may be their last chance to preserve their power structure. Holding back the ocean with pitchforks, but it's all they have.
They aren't afraid of him... they are afraid that he will be found out and the populace will hold it against them.

(17,175 posts)I think we should hold a national lottery to see who gets the honor. In addition, televise the event on pay-per-view.
Between the two, the country should make a few bucks off it. Not enough to pay off the national debt completely, but enough to retire a good chunk of it.
If things go well with the beer and souvenir concessions, we might even turn a small profit.
