On Thursday after President Donald Trump gave an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt in which he trashed former FBI Director James Comey — calling Comey a “grandstander” and a “showboat” — the White House announced that Trump’s planned visit to FBI Headquarters has been canceled.................

“The FBI told the White House the optics would not be good,” Alexander said. “FBI officials apparently said the president was unlikely to be greeted warmly after having just unceremoniously fired a very popular director.”

If the morale was terribly bad and most FBI agents had lost trust in Jim Comey, then it would seem that Trump would get a standing applause when he entered, because he fired Comey?

But, since he is not going, it appears to be another lie from the White House?

But that is probably about the only thing I can think of that would be any less fun for him.

NEVER forget that the FBI in its current format, was birthed by J Edgar Hoover--a guy who had a file on everybody and who lived in a closet all his life. This is a group with a mentality that does not run, is never cowed, and will keep after your ass for as long as it takes. It is a poor idea to piss them off, and that is exactly what has happened in the last 7 months. The orange assailant's administration is in Keith Richards mode--meaning probably clinically dead but the body forgot to fall down.

If it was anybody but tRump I'd maybe feel sorry for him...
