1. S.94 is the senate version of the bill.. sponsored by Cardin & it has 18 bipartisan co-sponsors

It has been in the Senate since January... but has only been reviewed by one committee... just in the last week or so
and just as recently, a similar (if not identical) version was introduced in the house...

Timing is everything...
As it will be vetoed by 45 (if it ever gets that far...)

So the super majority vote would be needed to overturn veto...


Biggest issue is that existing 2014 sanctions will automatically expire early next year...
in March, I think...
unless 45 takes specific action to extend them by EO.
