Sen. Wyden's aide told me not to give up hope because...

because there are a lot of really good people working on this in DC and a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

Watching Rachel tonight and hearing Wyden and Swalwell and the others like Schiff that she has on - seeing their intelligence, integrity and dedication gives me hope. I feel that even though the bad guys abound, we are in good hands.

Also there has been some extraordinary reporting happening. The media is not all being lap dogs.

Pretty sure several with knowledge about the investigation have already leaked to prominent Dems like Schiff and Wyden.

That's how they are building their lists of witnesses to testify before the committee. They want to get relevant people under oath and force them to plead the 5th, incriminate others, or perjure themselves (which would then result in leverage).

I think up until this point, the leakers (probably in the FBI, but also some foreign intelligence agents) have been asked to keep quiet in order to protect the integrity of the investigation. However, this Comey firing thing seems to have blown everything out of the water.

We are strong. Stronger than a two bit con man with good sales ability and little else.

I think the more scared he gets, the more he will blunder. The more evidence that mounts up, the more the Repubs will cut him loose.

and a lot that we aren't being told about the investigations. Heads will roll but I doubt tRump will be one. We will still have assholes in charge for 4 years, maybe more depending how stupid American voters really are.

will come back to bite him in the ass as well. You can't keep ridiculing people, and telling them how useless they are, without creating a flight-or-fight attitude. Guess what? The media has chosen to fight, and that's the WORST thing that could happen to Mr. Tiny Hands at this juncture of his "career". He keeps pissing people off because he never learned to keep his gaping maw shut. He's going to reap the whirlwind now for being such an asshole to everyone.

It gives me hope. Keeping my fingers crossed that democracy perseveres.

It was a good show tonight! And you're right. Journalists have stepped up to the challenge. Been reading WAPO and they have been excellent.
