Watching snippets of it on Lawrence this evening and trump just said he heard from people that Comey told him that he wasn't being investigated? I had to find the transcript to make sure I wasn't hearing things.
LESTER HOLT: Let me ask you about your termination letter to Mr. Comey. You
write "I greatly appreciate you informing me on three separate occasions
that I am not under investigation." Why did you put that in there?
DONALD TRUMP: Because he told me that. I mean he told me it.
LESTER HOLT: He told you weren't under investigation [OVER TALK]
regardless--
DONALD TRUMP: Yea and I've--I've heard that from others I think-LESTER HOLT: Was it in a phone call, did you meet face to face?
He heard it from others!!! He heard from others that Comey told him(DIRECTLY) that he wasn't under investigation 3 separate times. Let that sink in, how wonky it sounds. Now, either somebody else is telling him shit and he's just running with it. Or he's got some serious memory issues and people have to remind him what he's forgotten. No matter how this is sliced, it's insane as hell that this farce is being allowed to continue.
