My wife had a GREAT idea for an SNL skit
Focus on the cast and crew. They have a cold open skit all planned on the day's news. Then, on the TVs, the dreaded BREAKING NEWS. 45/140 does something even more outrageous. Cast and crew scramble. The writers rewrite. New costumes, cast plays different characters. They work it out with an hour to spare.
And then, MORE BREAKING NEWS. The scene repeats. They madly scramble and AGAIN get it worked out. Its minutes to showtime . . . . .
And then . . . . . EVEN MORE OUTRAGEOUS BREAKING NEWS . . . . and LIVE FROM NEW YORK ITS SATURDAAAAAY NIIIIIIGHT.
