A tape recorder would be the first listening device in this Oval Office
Because the current inhabitant only listens to himself and no one else. Trumps obsession with being bugged likely means he has no taping anywhere and simply wants to change the narrative as the Russia investigation picks up steam. He has no fear of tapes of any sort - he survived a tape showing him as a sexual predator and landed in the White House anyway.
