Is Trump trying to get impeached or forced to resign over Comey...

...so Pence can pardon him from getting his ass thrown in jail over Russia?

Serious question.

WTF is going on here? Why is he publicly attempting to blackmail Comey?

Inauguration Day, I wanted to jump up and put a fist through my TV screen. The smirk on Ryan's face really set me off, and when ogre Trump lumbered in, I lost it.

to lose. Every new thing he said and did was more outrageous than
the last one, and yet it only seemed to strengthen his support. He once
again seems to be trying very hard to get out of this job. But, Pence will
eventually be drawn into the investigation too, as well as Ryan and
McConnell. The R's will suffer for this mis-administration.

He felt that 45 did not really want the job.

I don't think trump knows what he wants. Other than unquestioned admiration and loyalty, his wants vary from hour to hour.

to him personally so Comey had to go. His replacement will have to kiss the flabby royal ass at least once a day.

Remember the statement "I wouldn't believe anything out of Trump's mouth if he got his tongue notarized."

That pretty much says it all about the man, that and his need for total adoration and complete loyalty.

He is reactive instinctively and instantly in his own self interest, not worried about others as long as he is in the headlines and has a cudgel (he thinks) to vanquish the irritants, whether people or the press.

He has walked away from many projects to his pecuniary benefit, leaving destruction to the have nots in his wake.

The BIGLY difference here is IF what he walks away from (presidency) hurts his precious Ivanka in any way. She is the only one he seems to care about in addition to himself and his wealth. (And perhaps bodyguard and confidante Schiller)

thinks he is always the smartest person in the room. And that he knows more than anyone else and can run any business, including the country, with little or no input or help from anyone else.

He was NEVER running to lose. Not with his ego. And even now, he's not trying to be forced out of office in any way. If he does wind up leaving the Presidency, he'll spend the rest of his life screaming about how he was cheated and railroaded.

The man simply has no filter. Whatever comes into his tiny brain he says or tweets. Plus, of course, he can't remember what he said or tweeted fifteen minutes later, and apparently assumes that no one else can either. I think that for him all of life is just a scripted reality show with no real consequences. So far, at least, he hasn't figured out that life is not a scripted reality show and words, actions, and elections have consequences.

If someone on his payroll does not support Trump business, he/she gets fired.

The problem is that the United States is not a Trump business.
