'He Hopes There Are Tapes': Comey Reportedly Welcomes Trump's Threat to Release Conversations

Trump alleged earlier this week that Comey told him on three separate occasions that he was not the subject of an FBI investigation into ties between his election campaign and Russia. According to the president, Comey told him this once over a private dinner and twice during phone calls.

Trump’s claim, however, has been disputed by sources close to Comey as well as intelligence experts:

In response to Trump’s threat, NBC’s Ken Dilanian reported on Twitter that according to a source, Comey is eager for Trump to release potential tape recordings of their conversations:
