They are often implacably Republican because they think they're Rockefellers.
Little do they know that if the GOP causes another financial collapse, they'll lose out more, financially, than anyone.

Let's just pray this monstrosity of a budget doesn't pass - particularly the Medicaid cuts. Cheeto makes Reagan's social cuts of the early '80s look like Swedish-style socialism.

If you manage to accumulate a wealth so vast, you can indulge your every material whim, the question arises, THEN what do you do? You can always accumulate more, I suppose, but at some point, even those guys have to get tired of doing nothing but keeping score. So, the choice presents itself. do some good, and give some back, or use it to accumulate power, the one great reward of those who, for some defect in their personalities, can only get satisfaction from controlling other people against their will.
