Even though months earlier DT had told Bharara he would remain in his position.
Did Bharara, like Comey, refuse to swear a loyalty oath?

With Congress showing no signs of taking action, a group of ethics watchdogs is turning to U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara to look into whether President Trump's many business interests violate the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
"Published reports indicate that the Trump Organization and related Trump business entities have been receiving payments from foreign government sources which benefit President Trump through his ownership of the Trump Organization and related business entities," according to a letter sent to Bharara. It went on:
"A failure by your office to investigate these reports and to take appropriate action will leave the nation exposed to foreign governments directly and indirectly providing payments and financial benefits to President Trump when those foreign governments may be seeking to influence Executive Branch policies and positions. This is precisely the kind of problem that the Founding Fathers acted to prevent by including the Foreign Emoluments Clause in the Constitution."

Lawyers mentioned as a possible permanent replacement include Marc Mukasey, according to The New York Times. The newspaper noted that Mukasey is a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District and is now a lawyer at the New York law firm where Trump friend and advisor Rudy Giuliani works.

Giuliani is seeking to spare Reza Zarrab from American justice. Late last month, Giuliani and former U.S. Attorney General Mike Mukasey stated in court papers that they are seeking a diplomatic resolution of Zarrabs case, which apparently means dropping the charges.

Trump, meanwhile, fired U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, who oversaw the prosecution of Zarrab. According to the New York Times, Giuliani has recommended Mukaseys son, Marc L. Mukasey, to become the next United States attorney in Manhattan.
If Giuliani has his way, the younger Mukasey would be in charge of the prosecution of the man his father is trying to set free.
David L. Phillips, a former senior adviser to the U.S. State Department who first exposed Flynns relationship with the Erdogan government in the Huffington Post, says Trump may release Zarrab as a favor to Erdogan.
