Assuming we're still a functioning country, and that the planet is still inhabitable, Republicans will face a backlash for their actions. The pendulum always shifts.

I want to think that it's happening now, and that we'll see it in full force in 2018. Maybe so, but I've learned to never underestimate the stupidity of a large chunk of the electorate. One thing I do know, however, is that when it does happen, the GOP is gonna be slaughtered.

We just need to hang in and keep fighting.

3. I used to think the same about a backlash but,

after waiting 35 years for people to come to their senses and a backlash happens against the republicans and it still has not....well, I am not thinking it will ever happen.
At least not as long as my generation is still voting and in power.
