A Manafort shoe drop at Bloomberg News

"Manafort's Real-Estate Deals Said to Be Probed by N.Y.'s Top Cop"

"New York State has opened an investigation into the real-estate dealings of President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, deepening the already intense legal scrutiny of the young administration.

The probe by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, one of the most outspoken critics of the president, is in a preliminary stage, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be named because the investigation isn’t public. Manafort, who ran Trump’s campaign from April to August last year, has owned property in the Hamptons and Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. is also in the early stages of an investigation into Manafort’s transactions, a person familiar with that probe said. Representatives for Schneiderman and Vance declined to comment."

This is still in the no comment/unconfirmed state.

I wanted Flynn so bad I was drooling, and now I want Manafort's head on a motherfucking plate.

For starters.

He claimed to not get paid by Trump campaign, but timing of the real estate loan payments is suspect since they appear to be pattern of money laundering where so-called loans are really payoffs involving shell companies that aren't expected to ever be paid back.

In connection with Trump/Russia, a Dem congressman recently went to Cyprus investigating money-laundering techniques using shell companies and bogus loans.

After Campaign Exit, Manafort Borrowed From Businesses With Trump Ties
By MIKE McINTIREAPRIL 12, 2017

"Aug. 19 was an eventful day for Paul Manafort.

That morning, he stepped down from guiding Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign, after a brief tenure during which Mr. Trump won the Republican nomination, Democrats’ emails were hacked and the campaign’s contacts with Russia came under scrutiny. Dogged by revelations about past financial dealings in Ukraine, Mr. Manafort retreated from public view.

But behind the scenes, he was busy with other matters. Papers were recorded that same day creating a shell company controlled by Mr. Manafort that soon received $13 million in loans from two businesses with ties to Mr. Trump, including one that partners with a Ukrainian-born billionaire and another led by a Trump economic adviser. They were among $20 million in loans secured by properties belonging to Mr. Manafort and his wife."
