If it follows then that, given tRumps question of Comey's loyalty, he will require that his choice

for FBI director be loyal to HIM, not America, how do we assess the process? Can an FBI director hold his accountability to a president and not his sworn duty to the constitution? Will tRump accept a director that will not kiss his ring?

Will his selection forever taint the person, or just the process and maybe the the whole of the FBI? Will it cause a rift or revolt within the FBI if fealty to a person (king?) take precedence and becomes a litmus test?

Does our separation of powers even matter anymore if a president can fire everyone who he thinks may be investigating him or her?

I loathe saying this but, maybe J. Edgar Hoover had the right idea. No, just no.
