Comcast Says It Has Received Many Calls About Lawrence O'Donnell Show

I just now called Comcast corporate headquarters to complain about the impending elimination of Lawrence O'Donnell's Show "The Last Word". I told them that I would not watch any replacement - whether it's Brian Williams or anyone else. The person I talked to confirmed that O'Donnell's contract is running out. BUT he did say there is still a chance that O'Donnell will be re-upped (slightly positive sign). More importantly, he said that Comcast had received tons (I think that was his term) of calls about the possible termination of O'Donnell's show. This comment was gratuitous - and therefore I think it is a positive sign that Comcast is feeling the heat. (Note - Comcast is the ultimate owner of NBC and MSNBC.)

The phone number I used to reach Comcast is 215-286-1700. DUers please (politely) add your voice to mine by calling this number.

but they don't control what NBC does. He said several times tell all your friends to email NBC; the more messages they get, the more impact. He seemed to really be with us on this. Seems we would be bettter off calling NBC customer service/ headquarters than calling Comcast.

Here is # for corporate HQ for NBC Universal in NY:

New York City

30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY - 10112
(212) 664-4444

I have to leave for awhile...if anyone calls it, please update us.

I read somewhere that Trump is pressuring Comcast to fire Lawrence. I do not know if that is the truth. We will find out soon enough. I hope Lawrence is kept on. I don't have cable, but I often look for links on what he has said.

Makes me wonder now if he or MSNBC have even proposed a new contract at all then if not then why not.
I personally dont buy the rumor of O'rielly being considered that some have been spreading due to his being fired at fox as he is to radioactive to have on air atleast for any network that relies on advertisers not to mention the potential legal liability to MSNBC if he repeats what he did at Fox.

that was listed either here or on Twitter, possibly both. When I selected "The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell" from among the menu options, I got a message saying the mailbox was full. I will send an email to the address posted in the thread and ask them to consider renegotiating with Lawrence. Thanks to the person(s) who posted that address in this thread. On a related note, Stephanie Miller said this morning that Trumpty Dumpty is behind the move to remove Lawrence.

I love his insight into how the government functions and he is, IMHO, one of the best shows on their network. What are they doing??? Getting rid of their best and bringing in all these Republicans??? Grrrrr.

Murdoch was willing to take multi millions in losses for years with Fox. They don't care about the money,. they take write offs for everything. They care about the power, and distributing the BS to the masses. Cutting off voting, avenues for obtaining truthful information, that's what this is about.
