On ALL IN w/ Chris Hayes

the MSNBC reporter Kristn Welker (sp?) said that in his statement to the press, McMaster was parsing his words.

True enough, but then she said that he (McM) said that "at no time did he (Trumpty Dumpty) release classified information,"

This, however is not what McM said. In his statement he denied a couple of specific releases of information.

However, at no time in his statement, did McMaster ever use the term "classified information."

So he did not, in fact, deny that the Trumpster released "classified information."

Another thing, did the National Security Advisor not advise that this private meeting with the Russian foriegn ambassador in the Oval Office was a bad idea? If there was treason committed, is McM and the other "top Trump Administration Officials, one of whom was the Sec of State, not complicit in this treason.?

The Ruptured Duck is going to have a fun time on his overseas trip explaining to our Allies how they have not been compromised by his narcicism.

How the hell do we expect to be trusted by them again?

the leak. Now they are saying the WP and Times story is false. So they are essentially forcing the papers to release the information and prove their story.

The Kristen Welkers and the employers who don't fire them can't be trusted again either -- the reason we no longer pay for MSNBC.

And, as you've said, could he, Secretary Tillerson, and Deputy Powell possibly now have charges of treason looming over their heads?

Here’s what National Security Adviser McMaster said:

"There’s nothing that the president takes more seriously than the security of the American people. The story that came out tonight, as reported, is false. The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation. At no time — at no time — were intelligence sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the secretary of state, remember it being the same way and have said so. Their on-the-record accounts should outweigh those of anonymous sources. And I was in the room. It didn’t happen."

Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell's released statement:

"This story is false. The president only discussed the common threats that both countries faced."

And here's Sec. Tillerson's released statement:

"During President Trump's meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov a broad range of subjects were discussed among which were common efforts and threats regarding counter-terrorism. During that exchange, the nature of specific threats were discussed, but they did not discuss sources, methods or military operations."

All I would like to know is why did Tom Bossert immediately call both the CIA and the NSA and why were steps taken to clean up any internal memos and restrict access to the full transcript of that meeting, if sensitive classified information was not disclosed to the Russians.
