I don't know. It may just be all hype.

There is a very strong Republican machine here. And oil and gas culture. And a strong fear right now about persecuting illegals.

Texas is blood red politically for the main part. At the state level especially. Gawd our gov and lt. Gov are the worst.

And the GOP considers Texas their 'last stand' electorally. They lose Texas and its over. So they will fight tooth and nail if it looks close.

Although after 2016....who knows anymore???
