Any chance the info Trump leaked was false and deliberately planted to see if he would leak?

I just keep thinking about how the intelligence community knew he was involved in Russia and reports that he was not receiving complete briefings.

Also - he never reads or pays attention for long enough to serious info to sink in.

I wonder if this was just a trap?

the way they did it, now any potential confidential informant will be reluctant to give intel to us *or* any of our allies.

even if they come out and say it was all a trap, it will still make informants very wary.

surely they could have come up with a trap that would cause less real damage if he fell for it. some fake intel about military research perhaps.

how staffers sneak info (including hoaxes) to Trump to get their agendas met.

I guess I just don't want to believe anyone would be stupid enough at this point to give him sensitive info

I certainly buy the idea that the intelligence community might have fed him disinformation to test his trustworthiness and/or to protect the real intel. However, Benedict Donald leaking intel about informants is way too damaging to the intel community. They round have cone up with a less damaging test.

This story topic has been a high level topic for a few weeks. The idea of a laptop-size chemical explosive that evades current detection technology -- if true, that is very scary. Particularly since I will be flying all over the place starting in about 12 hours.

Why couldn't this be something big like red mercury?
