the post I responded to was about being educated. In the US, it seems people vote for weird politicians that would rather teach fantasy in our schools than reality. So if you want to call me "broad brush" I couldn't give a hoot. I don't care if your Christian, Hindu, or Muslim - it doesn't belong in our public institutions - period.

quickly lower our labor rates to compete with the 3rd world. It also makes us more likely to be religious because less educated people tend to attribute mysterious unknowns to a Deity.

We have 10% of the population that can write books, invent smart phones and Tesla cars, speak foreign languages and tell the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Preamble to the Constitution, and 90% that couldn't even name the states that border on their own (which is probably why Hawaii always votes Democratic).
