we have to hang Trump around their necks like the rotting albatross he is.
When are the American people going to finally get it, that the GOP does not care a whit about the Republic. All they care about is their position at the trough?

and voter suppression laws enacted in those RW States.

It's why they're so bold and in-your-face! They know they can murder someone in the middle of their capital and not only will they win with 10+ points from any Democrat, they'll be cheered on by their deluded supporters.

This phenomena is a result of Fox "News" Channel, Breitbart, Alex Jones, Red State, and other ultra-RW blogs and sites that exist merely to brainwash the simpletons.

Once public attitude gets ugly enough, the GOP will act. That part of it sounds right. They are a bunch of chickenshit opportunists, and he gives them cover to be as greedy and hateful as they want to be. He's out front keeping the attention off all the rape and pillage going on in Congress while they are off the public radar. He's still useful, in other words. Once that changes, however, I think he'll be out the door faster than yesterday's fish dinner scraps.

My concern is that if the Dems run solely against the orange assailant, if he's suddenly gone just before the election, Dems will have exactly nada to show for a lot of campaign money spent. That campaign message needs to be crafted that (GOP Incumbent) is carrying trump's water and hurting the voters by doing it. Our local Congressman is a huge tool, and we are already working him as voting against us all by hauling trump's freight. Nate Silver recently shifted the district away from Strongly GOP to Leaning, and it is early in the cycle. Given enough raw meat, this district could be a toss up before the Dem primary is even held... The Dem candidate can afford at that point, to run a race that is FOR something rather than against the current office holder. It's a fine distinction, but a critical one, IMO.

Food for thought.

There are no "pro-active" Republicans. They're all reactionaries.

They are not aware that the nation is becoming enraged at them for their cowardice and their support of treasonous activities.

The GOP voter base exists largely from ambivalence regarding the two major political parties. You know-- one party is nearly the same as the other. This lack of distinction is rapidly changing. GOP voters, by now, must be losing that ambivalence. Once their sentiments are hardened against Trumpy's dangerous behavior AND the GOP's unwavering support of Trumpy's treasonous and criminal behavior, it's all over for them. And those sentiments are hardening NOW.
