sitting here watching a show on animal planet about houston animal care .

why is it that there is a organization that cares deeply what happens to every critter on the planet ,finding them, sheltering them ,giving them care, but when it comes to people the attitude is kill them or put them in prison to rot.

The aspca and the humane society have been around for over a century.
They run on private donations.
You must also know that the Houston episodes are from the early to mid 2000s. When Texas was a little saner.
Perry was an idiot but, the state was more sane when he was gov. With the new gov. its gone totally off the rails and is a very nasty place.

Find your local food bank and go volunteer. They'll be glad to have your help.
