All this resignation talk is delusional

This ego maniac is not resigning. Ever. He sees himself as a god and his followers will stay with him until the end of time. Not sure what is worse - the false hope of his surrender or the fact that 30% of the country would let him burn it down.

Best to focus on surviving the next four years or getting him on a crime than dreaming of an egomaniac suddenly seeing an unclothed emperor when looking in the mirror.

If he were to decide the country didn't deserve his greatness.

I still think you are right.

Resignation = defeat, and might even require some sort of apology. Trumpsky NEVER admits defeat, and he NEVER apologizes. Get this fantasy out of your system.

He is not only incompetent, he is also very lazy and can not take criticism.
It is not far fetched to think that he might get frustrated at all the criticism and constraints of the job. He may also think
its a way to get away from all the investigations.
He did say recently that he liked his previous life and thought the job of president would have been easier.

Part of me thinks there's no way in hell he would ever resign, because his ego wouldn't allow it.

However, his ego also can't take the constant mocking, ridicule and negativity that is coming at him fast and furious now. Also, Russiagate. Russiagate could take any number of turns.

If he does, his MinioNazis will try and put the best possible spin on it, like he "wasn't aware" being President was so hard, and the real estate world has crumbled without the brilliance of his leadership.

Just as, despite what some people have fantasized, he was NEVER running to lose, just as he is NOT hoping to be impeached. He has an ego the size of one of the Lesser Magellanic Clouds, and is incapable of thinking he is other than completely right about everything, and that he's the smartest person in the room.

Even if he's impeached, he'll need to be dragged out of the White House kicking and screaming. And he'll spend the entire rest of his life trying to sue everyone connected, and claiming he was railroaded and so on.

I get this is a stressful time and our emotions are strong in regards to Shit Gibbon but calling people on your side delusional is a bit much. You are entitled to your opinion of course, but I would think you'd consider your fellow DUers a bit of consideration. I prefer to say they're just hopeful and a bit scared. After all, Shit Gibbon is rather erradic, thin skinned and delicate so you never know, the heat just might get too much and he takes his ball and goes home or worse, stay in and cause irreprairabl;e harm to the world.

I agree that he probably will not resign and you did a fine job of saying why. Please take a moment though and remember we're on the same side.
