(14,522 posts)from this maladministration we have heard talk of redefining freedom of the press, arresting journalists; sending letters to protesters employers to get them fired; cutting off peoples access to health care; banning certain religious people from entering our country; gutting safety nets; people are to blame for causing their own illnesses, even newborn babies; science info scrubbed from public access; lock up political opponents; and so much more. The followers cheer. Give out code word only, top secret intel to a foreign adversary? lie to protect him.
Sounds like we live in a 3rd world country.

(4,605 posts)an interesting article discussing the friction between official, government Secret Service assigned to protect newly-elected President Trump and his own private, personal security team (plural!), which he apparently has had for years. Haven't seen or read much about it until his personal bodyguard delivered the letter to Comey's office. That, by the way, was very Luca Brasi-esque.
