At 7:00 am my granddaughters, 3 and 5, were dropped off. I babysat until until 2:00. No tv, no news. We painted rocks, we made glitter pictures, we played on the dock and threw sticks in the lake, we fed the ducks, we ignored all news and politics. Best day I've had in ages.

(13,485 posts)I've been looking through and practicing old piano pieces I haven't looked at in years. It does occupy my mind in creative ways and gets me out of the ugliness at hand.

(17,235 posts)both body and mind. I visited April, Oliver and Tajiri the giraffes, along with all of the other animals, at the Animal Adventure in Harpursville, NY yesterday. It was the best medicine on earth to get away from all of the political s**t that mentality and physically destroys you. Everyone needs a break from the calamity.
