I've noticed several posts that were deleted with this message. I don't recall ever seeing that before, and I have never known the admins to use such awkward phrasing. The posts were ones that I responded to that were not in any way offensive or a violation of TOS so I wonder if it was part of the hack. Anyone know?

(58,646 posts)apparently the hack involved posting bogus graphics in posts from members. I guess an attempt to get some long time posters tombstoned.
Congrats and thanks to the staff for clearing that up so quickly.

(34,136 posts)Some posts were hacked and those were deleted by the DU administrators. I suspect the awkwardness of the phrasing was in the heat of the moment when they were trying to clean up DU and get it back online.

(101,306 posts)There's a Google cache of that post of Skinner's from before the attack here, and you can see he used that to quote an excerpt:
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:OdywmGPaRbYJ:https://www.democraticunderground.com/10029078480+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk
Just for completeness, his quote was:
"Karen Handel, a former Republican candidate for governor in Georgia who joined the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation last year, resigned Tuesday as senior vice president for policy just days after the foundation reversed its decision to largely end its financial support for breast cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood affiliates amid an uproar.
Ms. Handel, who opposes abortion and called for eliminating government money to Planned Parenthood during her 2010 campaign, was among the organizations senior leaders who helped persuade Komens board to change its policy late last year. The change resulted in a halt of grants to 19 of Planned Parenthoods 83 affiliates, which received nearly $700,000 from the Komen foundation last year."
