We should expect Trump's twitter days to end soon.

He is now seeking a top level legal firm to represent his personal interests. He will likely interview 3 or more top level attorneys.

They will all tell him the same thing:

You have a better than 50/50 chance of being removed from office.
You have a better than 25% chance of getting sentenced for some criminal offense.

They will scare the bejesus out of him and then they will all say that one of the conditions for their retention is that they would control all his public statements on related issue and the first step is to leave twitter.

If he is smart he will take their advice and there will be no more twitter.

If he doesn't take their advice and get a second rate attorney that gives him freedom to continue his absurd messaging he will talk himself into a felony conviction.

BTW did you notice that

https://www.rawstory.com/2017/05/white-house-insiders-say-jared-kushner-urged-trump-to-counterattack-over-special-counsel/

According to The Times tick-tock, Trump learned of Rod Rosenstein’s decision to appoint a special prosecutor to oversee the Trump-Russia investigation at approximately 5:35 p.m. Wednesday. At that time, White House counsel Don McGhan came to inform him.

“Trump, who was looking through papers, reacted calmly but defiantly at first, according to two people familiar with the events, saying he wanted to ‘fight back,'” The Times reported.

Trump then brought the staff together, including press secretary Sean Spicer along with Reince Priebus, Hope Hicks, Kellyanne Conway, Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner. Most of the staffers counseled Trump to respond in a level headed way “with a conciliatory stance.”

Kushner wanted to see Trump go another route and launch a counterattack. Kushner was also the aide responsible for urging Trump to fire former FBI director James Comey. The majority wanted a calm rational response and Trump agreed. The staff gathered around a computer outside of the Oval Office and drafted the statement that was ultimately released.

So much for the family members and the 'brilliant' Kushner being the 'sane' part of the administration keeping Trump from over reacting.

The problem with Trump is that he's not a normal human being and he's not capable of taking other people's advice.

Good luck to any lawyer signing up that guy. He's going to be a nightmare client.

C'mon! They were good for a laugh! The best part is that rethugs had no defense against them.

If it was possible to get him to stop Tweeting, it would have happened by now.

He already has a firm--Kasowitz--that handles all of his private legal affairs.

Competent people hire other competent people. Incompetent idiots won't hire competent people for fear they themselves would look bad by comparison.

The attorneys will be national ranked and they will scare him.

They will come in an say "unless something radically changes you are likely to be convicted on 23 felony counts and could spend 20 years in a federal prison".

But the thing that will really unnerve him is that they won't negotiate. They will give take it or leave it conditions for representation.

Of course he could still go bat shit crazy.

In his state of delusion he considers himself to be omnipotent and invincible. He will hire some schlock lawyer who tells him only what he wants to hear.

that is belied by his angelic, vapid face. IIRC, having the Bill Clinton accusers at the debate was Kushner's idea. What a vile human being.

He doesn't follow directions. He is incapable of keeping his mouth shut. He lies constantly. And the one that would be the real kicker is he weasels out of paying people who work for him. Yeah, bet those great lawyers are just lining up to take him as a client.

They will make him give them the twitter account password and they will change it.

I agree with you no competent attorney will take him if he keeps Twitter, that's why its probably limited.

A high-profile case like that usually helps the lawyer attract other clients. The lawyer could come out ahead financially even if Trump stiffs him on the fee -- which Trump wouldn't do because the lawyer, aware of Trump's record, would take the case only on payment of a substantial up-front retainer. As for subsequent fees if the retainer is exhausted, a client's failure to make prompt payment as bills are rendered would be accepted by most courts as a good basis for granting the lawyer's motion to be relieved of the representation. Trump certainly wouldn't want that embarrassment.

Trump's deficiencies as a client are well known. As a result, if there's a good outcome it would be seen as reflecting the lawyer's brilliance in overcoming obstacles, while a bad outcome would be widely blamed on the client's self-sabotage.

when he's known not to pay people who do work for him?

I suppose they could ask for all of their fees up-front.
