I'm hoping that Democrats do not vote to confirm Lieberman.

Let the Republicans confirm him if they wish.

He professes to be a "non-partisan independent" but he a more divisive politician than he pretends, in my opinion.

Also, Trump is looking for someone at the FBI that will agree to be his "eyes and ears". I'm not sure that Lieberman would have the courage, knowledge, or the independence to be the FBI Director?

I would not vote for him at this time.

I'd be surprised if he got a lot of Dem votes.

At least I hope not.

He lost me when he turned Independent after losing the primary but the main reason he's not qualified is he's on Trump's payroll. Even worse than that, I can't help but hear John Stewart's Droopy Dawg impression of him when I see him.

I was just opining that he probably doesn't have a lot of personal capital amongst Dems to support him in the effort.

I think Trump is playing his usual games with Lieberman, just wetting his appetite then turning him down.

Yes, the FBI director needs to be qualified. That person needs to be strong, sure, purposed, experienced, etc.

Lieberman is like a bran muffin. Bleh!

His support of Sam Fox. Sam Fox was a contributor to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and to one of Liebermans Senate runs. Lieberman then spoke in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in glowing support of Sam Fox.

Bush ended up doing a recess appointment for Fox.

He is not qualified...maybe play the terrorism card...that he does not have the knowledge or experience to run the FBI and he endangers all Americans. I don't know...your thoughts?

he would be gone, but if we wanted to have power over the process, we needed to win in 16. The saddest thing is that in many ways, we did this to ourselves.
