Is it because he's Deputy Dog?

But now his law firm is Trump's go-to law firm so no surprise Trump considers him.
But the media keeps calling him a Dem and going back to remind us that he was a Dem VP nominee with no mention of his turning his back on Democrats in CT for the sake of his own ego - and his outright slam to nominee Obama during 2008 campaign. The media lurve them some "bipartisanship" bs.
