They say Trump is lawyering up, but

he obviously isn't listening to whatever legal advice he might be getting. The first thing any lawyer will tell a client who's being investigated for something, or who even might be investigated for something, is to Shut The Fuck Up. Do not discuss the matter. At all, ever, with anybody. Don't talk about it to the media, don't talk about it to your friends, your barber, your next-door-neighbor, or anybody else who could be questioned, deposed, or called as a witness. That is, anybody but your lawyer, because that is the only absolutely privileged communication you're going to have (unless you confess to a priest). Trump is going to hang himself with his own tongue.

Not that I mind, of course.

When Trump shoots his wad via Twitter or television, the attorney has to consider leaving his/her representation behind. Ethics prevents counsel representation if you're pretty sure you're client is a liar and you present that client as not guilty, not liable, and credible (with the prospect of being proven to be a liar by opposing counsel).

What lawyer is going to risk his/her/their reputation and possible ethics sanctions on Trump?

He is incapable of letting it go.

I predict the last we see of Donald J. Trump is when he is finally led away in hand cuffs screaming obscenities, and vowing to get even.
