I say this knowing that all of us here sit in stunned amazement and horror at the daily cluster fuck that is the Trump government. I know that we know that it's a train wreck. But. Clarity about momentus moments in history (and I do think this is a small scale one) is usually only gained in hindsight with the passage of time. There's honestly too much shit going on day by day for us to fully digest what's going on. Many have been in kind of a perpetual state of shock since Trump took office. Every day brings preposterous events that out do the ones from the day before, before we've had the chance to digest those. We are so far past the point where the truth doesn't hold any weight any more, so far into the land of the news media debating the validity of alternative facts, that our heads are spinning. It's like one day you woke up and people were trying to argue that the sky is red, then the next they say, no we never said that but today it's going to rain snakes, then the next we are talking about whether unicorns need to be registered as pets. None of this shit even makes sense anymore. Honestly if this had all been written as a movie script I'd have a hard time believing it, let alone reality. I think it's going to take several months of separation from this madness, before we fully realise what we have been through.
