Is Taylor's lead the same as this by Louise?
I know they work together often, & have a shared respect.
As of the 13th Mensch had written about the May 9th date also.
Here's her blog post.
Exclusive:
Several sources familiar with the matter say that Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah is being given security briefings to prepare him for the Presidency.
Sources close to the legal community indicate that matters are proceeding rapidly in the forthcoming proceedings to remove Donald Trump from office, and to indict the co-conspirators around him.
Sources with links to the intelligence community described a sense of both inevitability and urgency over the unraveling of the Trump-Pence administration over their attempts to obstruct justice.
[Trumps presdidency ended May 9th, said one source, referring to the overtly politicized dismissal of FBI Director James Comey.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence have both violated their oaths of office in plain sight over the unconstitutional dismissal of Director Comey, these sources say, and elements of the Judicial Branch are asserting the separation of powers described in the Constitution.
This matter is separate from, and additional to, the substantive charges of collusion with the Russian state, and of money-laundering, sedition, violation of the Logan Act, and other crimes with which both Trump and Pence may be charged.
As I exclusively reported earlier this week, Speaker Paul Ryan, normally third in the line of succession, will be excluded as the intelligence community has an intercept in which Ryan openly admits that he knew Sergei Kislyak was washing Russian money into the GOP.
This will convict Ryan on RICO charges; as I have also exclusively reported this week, a RICO case exists against the GOP as a body.
The raids earlier this week on a data and consulting firm close to Paul Manafort formed part of evidence gathering in this RICO case.]
Some of the violations committed this week by Pence and Trump include, but are not limited to, lying that Director Comey told Mr. Trump he was not being investigated;
*explicitly connecting Trumps firing of Comey to the investigation of his connections with Russian hacking;
* using White House spokesmen knowingly to lie to the public, for example, Sarah Sanders Huckabee claiming Comey committed atrocities;
*having the Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, involve himself on a matter on which he was recused;
*explicitly stating that the White House wishes a new FBI Director to bring the Russia investigation to a conclusion;
*and witness tampering with threats to Director Comey.
As a result, sources say, steps are being taken by aspects of the Judicial Branch to preserve the constitutional Separation of Powers and ..

Granted Hatch is a p.o.s. but with Pence & Ryan gone, and much more to come in the way of collusion & obstruction for others, perhaps it is a good beginning to puting them all on notice that they work for the people of the United States.
Believe me, I am hoping this is how it truly goes forward from here & Mensch & Taylor's sources are spot on.

Imagine how much is yet to be found out.
I believe the scope of it all will be stunning.

(6,390 posts)I would think some in Trumps inner group would have a heads up on this and already preparing the motions for pardons and covering their ass.
But then again...who knows... there isn't anything "normal" these days.

(678 posts)The whole ordeal from the moment DT entered the Primary has been fast forward & on steroids.
I sincerely trust there are fine & wise people at the top who live for the opportunity in their career to 'bring down the mob', like this international criminal organization.. the size & scope of the one that's staring them straight in the face today.
They know what is at stake.

(6,390 posts)A special counsel means even if you cheated on your high school chemistry test, they are going to look into it.
And lets just say hypothetically 45 is innocent in the whole Russia thing. This guy is into Real Estate, world wide. The real estate business in the US can be sleazy, but its far worse in other countries. Palms had to be greased to get what he wanted... and at minimum there will be a lot questions on shell companies.

(678 posts)Mind blowing. Even the bits we hear & patch into a picture that is somewhat fathomable.
It comes down to a duel of good vs evil, on a global scale & in present day.
I long for the days when there is no more of Trump on the front page of every website & news show.
We really cannot sustain much more of him & his business. He has made the world ill.
Peace ~

"Special Counsel Mueller met w/Rosenstein *1 day* after #Comey was fired.
Comey & Rosenstein made plan, now executing"
I'd hate to play chess with either of these two.
Thanks for posting this Kingofalldems.
To think we're only at the beginning of finding out what they really have on all these people. Putin, Trump & family & all those inside & outside the US, who positioned Trump in the WH for wealth, power & a vendetta.

(108,976 posts)Only a half hour after Mueller announced his resignation from his law firm to be Special Counsel, two of the other partners at the 1,000 person law firm also announced their resignations to join him.
All of these men needed time to make the decision and the arrangements. Clearly, this plan had been in the works for a while. Even a week would not have been very much time.

(14,167 posts)Especially after Trump tried to initially blame him (and his memo) for Comey's firing.
Several people encouraged us to trust Rosenstein and these calls have proved to be correct.
The other lawyers who resigned from the law firm along with Mueller did so too quickly for it to be spur of the moment. They planned to do so and were probably approached some time earlier.
As far as something like this being kept quiet for so long... these are FBI guys. It's part of their background and training.
