It's literally where Reagan grew up, and they have banners of Reagan's face hanging from all the downtown (ha..."downtown&quot light poles. There's a hospital and a Walmart (to be fair, there's an Aldi next to the Walmart), and that's about it. Oh, and "Reagan's Boyhood Home," a museum. I'd say meth is a significant concern.

Outside of that, it's farmland and the usual rural operation for miles.

If you asked me, "Where should I go in Illinois to really assure myself of finding Trump diehards," I'd answer "Dixon" without a hesitation.

There are some nice people in Central/Southern IL, but overall it is hillbilly country without the hills, and I have no intention of ever visiting again.

Illinois is a blue state but it's blue because of Chicago and it's suburbs in the north. I have hunted in Southern Illinois and the people there (although nice to me because I was white) where the most racist people I have encountered in my life. And I grew up in . ALABAMA.
