Roger Ailes: "Why would anyone take the word of these women over mine?!"

"A settlement is not an admission of guilt," he said. "I did nothing wrong — and I will be back."

Guess not.

..........

In the end, Roger Ailes seemed deeply confused as to why most people believed he was a creep.

The famously paranoid, 77-year-old media genius who had once advised President Nixon, offered pointers to President Trump and changed the face of television by creating Fox News Channel, was irritated the public and press seemed to be siding with a group of women accusing him of sexual harassment.

"Why would anyone take the word of these women over mine?!
" he lamented in a recent call that we had agreed would be off the record — unless, in an eerie bit of foreshadowing, he died.
