Trump transition was told of Flynns lobbying, congressmans letter to Pence shows
The top Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform told then Vice President-elect Mike Pence in a November letter that the man Donald Trump had tapped to be his national security adviser was lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.
The letter, a copy of which was shared with McClatchy, contradicts White House claims that neither Pence nor Trump knew of Michael Flynns lobbying until it was revealed in a Justice Department filing this week.
In the letter, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, asked Pence, then the leader of Trumps transition team, for information regarding Flynns business interests and statements regarding potential conflicts of interests.

(37,648 posts)Cummings apparently knew that the information about the foreign lobbying wouldn't have any effect on the Trump team, which is why he sent it registered or certified, to prove that they were notified.

(49,001 posts)Pence has been in government for years including executive office so he has no excuse for running an incompetent office.
Since he is that incompetent, his Presidency can be expected to be similarly incompetent, though not as incompetent as tRump's, not by half.

(5,730 posts)Months. It is only now gaining any traction, and still not much. The Wall Street news is that the market is back in rally mode because if DT goes, we will have Pence, who will still pursue the tax and Deregulation agenda.
It isn't even coming up that Pence is a liar, and he has ignored all the warnings. He vetted Flynn.

(44 posts)Someone sign it so there is a signature. That person would then need to decide not to give it to Pence. Not give a certified letter that they signed for from Cummings. This is highly unlikely even in a Trump administration.
It just is fantastical that anyone could think Pence didn't know, but it is a pretty routine dismissal for conservatives defending a conservative based on what you note.
Standard fair conservative fuck wittery where they are oh, so "liberal" in excusing their people while having on limit to the insane speculation that passed for "reality" relative to the evil liberals.

He'll think he's totally cool with the "big guy", because he's so stupid, correct and has no real understanding of what true Christianity is.
